Specialists claim frequent ultrasound screening can be unsafe.
Scientists warn future parents that taking ultrascan pictures to capture the stages of fetal development can be unsafe. Today private clinics offer not only pictures, but also videos of the fetus claiming that ultrascan screening is absolutely safe.
However, specialists believe this procedure shall be carried out only in extreme cases.
Specialists from the British Medical Journal say there is not enough evidence to state that ultrascan screening is bad, yet, this might raise the fetus’ temperature.
The doctors are concerned by the fact that more and more private clinics offer their clients to take pictures and videos of the fetus at different stages of its development for a certain fee. Doing an ultrasound screening is an ordinary thing in pregnancy surveillance medical practice.
However, many private medical institutions offer pregnant women ultrascan tests when they are not really needed.
